Islamic Studies
Islamic Studies is one of the most important fields that introduces the Muslim to his religion in a comprehensive way. It includes Aqeedah (creed), Fiqh (jurisprudence), Seerah (Prophetic biography), Tafsir (Quranic exegesis), and Hadith, helping build a complete understanding of Islam in all aspects of life.
Allah says:
“And We sent not before you except men to whom We revealed [Our message]. So ask the people of knowledge if you do not know.” (An-Nahl: 43)
This is a divine guidance to seek religious knowledge and gain understanding of the religion. This course aims to simplify Islamic sciences and present them in an organized and easy-to-understand way.
The course helps the student understand the fundamentals of Islam, learn the rulings of worship and transactions, and become familiar with the biography of the Prophet ﷺ and how to apply Islamic teachings in daily life. It also connects knowledge with practice so that it becomes part of the Muslim’s behavior.
The course aims to build correct religious awareness that protects the learner from misconceptions and enables them to deal with contemporary issues from a sound Islamic perspective based on the Quran and Sunnah.
Learning Islamic Studies is a path to understanding religion in a balanced and comprehensive way. It is a foundation for building a conscious Muslim personality that combines knowledge and action, understanding and practice.
What Will You Learn in This Course?
At Tawheed Institute, we provide a simplified and structured study of the main branches of Islamic Studies with gradual explanations that help students understand and apply knowledge.
Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence)
Learning Fiqh is the path to understanding how to perform acts of worship and daily transactions correctly according to Islamic law.
In this unit, the student learns the basics of purification, prayer, fasting, zakat, and Hajj, in addition to rulings of daily transactions such as buying and selling and ethics of dealing with others.
The content is presented in a simple way that connects rulings to real-life situations, making Fiqh a practical science rather than theoretical information. The wisdom behind rulings is also explained to strengthen understanding and faith.
Allah says:
“And establish prayer and give zakat and bow with those who bow.” (Al-Baqarah: 43)
This emphasizes the importance of worship as a core part of a Muslim’s life.
Aqeedah (Creed)
The study of Aqeedah focuses on strengthening correct faith in Allah, understanding the pillars of faith, and Tawheed in all its forms according to Ahl Al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah.
This unit aims to build firm certainty in the heart of the Muslim and protect them from doubts and intellectual deviations.
Concepts are explained in a simple way based on evidence from the Quran and Sunnah, and are linked to daily behavior so that faith is reflected in actions.
Allah says:
“So believe in Allah and His Messenger and the light which We have sent down. And Allah is Aware of what you do.” (At-Taghabun: 8)
This confirms the importance of correct belief as the foundation of all deeds.
Seerah (Prophetic Biography)
The study of Seerah aims to learn about the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from birth to death, extracting lessons and wisdom from his different situations.
It is not just a historical narration but a complete way of life showing how the Prophet ﷺ lived with da’wah, patience, morals, and interaction with people.
This unit helps build love for the Prophet ﷺ in the heart of the Muslim and understand how the Quran was practically applied in his life.
Allah says:
“There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent example for whoever hopes in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah often.” (Al-Ahzab: 21)
This shows that following the Prophet ﷺ is the path of guidance.
Hadith
This unit studies authentic Prophetic Hadiths, understanding their meanings and applying them in daily life, along with learning morals and manners derived from the Sunnah.
It serves as a practical extension of the Quran and an explanation of its teachings.
Selected Hadiths are used to build the Muslim’s character and instill moral and faith-based values, with simplified explanations for understanding and application.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“I was only sent to perfect good character.” (Hasan – Al-Bayhaqi)
This shows that the Sunnah aims to build a righteous human being in behavior and character.
Tafsir (Quranic Interpretation)
The study of Tafsir aims to understand the meanings of the verses of the Holy Quran in a simple way that encourages reflection and contemplation.
It opens the door to understanding the divine message and connecting it to daily life.
Verses are explained in their correct context with linguistic and legal clarification, removing any misunderstanding.
Allah says:
“A blessed Book which We have revealed to you so that they may reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.” (Sad: 29)
This is a clear invitation to reflect and deeply understand the Quran.
After completing this course, the student will have a strong and comprehensive foundation in Islamic sciences, enabling them to understand their religion correctly and apply Islamic teachings in daily life with confidence and awareness, bringing them closer to Allah with sound knowledge and true faith.
